Interfaith Marriages

Your Rabbi, Imam, Pastor or Pundit for Interfaith Marriages

Introduction: A Dedicated Interfaith Marriage Officiant

YOUR RABBI, IMAM, PASTOR OR PUNDIT FOR INTERFAITH MARRIAGES.

Independent & Co-Officiated Interfaith Ceremonies

In addition to officiating interfaith marriages independently, whether simple or elaborate, I also co-officiate with clergy from various faiths, including Rabbis, Pandits, Fathers, Pastors, Imams, Gyanijis, Bhikkus, Shamans, Bahai representatives, and others, according to the couple’s preferences. A few pictures of many such co-officiants are presented here

Guest Experiences & Parental Blessings

Upon request, we celebrate unions collaboratively, and guests frequently express appreciation for witnessing two faiths unite in shared values. Numerous testimonials reflecting these positive experiences are available on our website. Most importantly the reluctant parents express so much happiness after the inclusive ceremony that some mothers have expressed gratitude by symbolic bowing (touching of the feet) as a respect in Desi traditions. I feel overwhelmed with such blessings.

Diversity of Couples & Interfaith Combinations

As of November 4, 2025, approximately 33% (186) of the weddings officiated are Hindu-Muslim, while 34% (196) are Christian-Muslim. The remaining 33% represent other interfaith combinations across 12 religions, 4 races, and 95 ethnicities. Among the couples, 40% (232) are doctors & lawyers, 25% (145) IT professionals, and the remaining 35% (205) are comprised of other professions. These include embassy and defense personnel, pilots, flight attendants, chemists, physicists, plumbers, electricians, accountants, CEOs, engineers, waiters, business owners, consultants, machine operators, and truck drivers. A comprehensive list of all represented professions will be compiled in the near future.

Global Representation: 95+ Ethnicities & 75+ Cities

Over the years, we have officiated Weddings for individuals from over 95 ethnicities, spanning East Asia, South-East Asia, South Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Latin America. Ceremonies have taken place in over 75 cities in the United States, from Miami to Seattle, and Boston to San Diego, and every city in between, and add to that several cities in Canada, from Vancouver to Toronto, and many cities in between.  In the coming months, map pins will be created to visually capture all represented ethnicities, nationalities, and towns across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and the United Kingdom, providing a comprehensive overview of this reach.

A Pluralistic Approach to Faith & Humanity

As a pluralist, I am blessed with the ability to connect with individuals from all backgrounds. The Quran, regarded as a book of guidance for all humanity, states, “God is the lord of the entire universe,” “Muhammad (pbuh) is a mercy to the entire universe,” and similarly the Bhagavad Gita says, the entire world is one family (Vasudhaiva Kutumbukum), and the Abrahamic traditions call we are all (8 billion of us) from Adam and Eve, the first biological human couple. “I consider myself a servant of the universe” inclusive of all humanity. Universality of Religion Observed Through Ceremonies

Through conducting numerous diverse ceremonies, I have observed the universality of the concept of God and of every religion, despite the tendency of individual groups to claim exclusivity. This universality is reflected in the teachings of the Quran, Bhagavad Gita, Bible, Torah, Guru Granth Saheb, Agama, Tripitaka, Avesta, Kitab al Aqdas, and other sacred texts.

Experience in Interfaith Education & Media

Further, I have hosted 780 hours of talk shows on the essence of all religions, written about 250 articles for the Dallas Morning News, over 100 for the Huffington Post, and articles in major newspapers. In all over 3,600 articles on interfaith, Islam, pluralism, and other religions. We also did 39 workshops on the essence or bottom line of all religions. Crafting Meaningful Multi-Faith Ceremonies

This extensive experience has helped me put together a ceremony with a touch of the respective faiths of the bride and groom. There have been a few weddings where 5 faith traditions were involved, and we were able to extract values from all traditions into the ceremony.

The mission and its impact

Over 50,000 guests and family members have left the ceremonies feeling pleased, appreciative, and respectful of each other’s religious and cultural traditions. Participants consistently express enthusiasm for the 7-minute mini-workshops held before the groom and bride arrive. These workshops begin by inviting guests to reflect on two questions: What have I lost, and what is the essence of the ‘other’ tradition? This encourages meaningful reflections about each other.

The Center for Pluralism’s annual workshops and programs have dispelled myths about faiths. For the last 30 years, (1996) nearly 60,000 people have left these events with fewer biases and more peace. My mission is to open hearts and minds to one another and foster peaceful coexistence.
